Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal said that India will soon become a hub for global innovation. The Union Minister said this while interacting with Sir Ian Blatchford, Director and Chief Executive of the Science Museum Group, at the Future Frontiers Forum in London yesterday. Mr Goyal said that India is going to invest massively in the innovation ecosystem in the next 10 to 15 years. He further said that the government will help through subsidies, grants and funding so that India should be at the cutting-edge of technology.
During the interaction, Mr Goyal highlighted India’s progress in digital infrastructure and innovation, and how the world can benefit from India’s skilled talent, cost-effective solutions, and growing capabilities in AI and emerging technologies. In a social media post, Mr Goyal said that he underscored the potential of the India-UK FTA to deepen collaboration in science, technology, and innovation between the two nations.
