Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi today said that India will lead the world in the age of energy storage. Mr Joshi said this while addressing a conference on Energy Storage- Driving the Clean Energy Transition in New Delhi.
He said that the nation’s journey towards a cleaner and sustainable future can be achieved with the collective efforts of all stakeholders. Mr Joshi informed that new technology, like a sodium-ion battery, is garnering significant interest in the market.
Mr Joshi said that India targets to generate 248 gigawatt of renewable energy in the next five years. India aims to achieve its goal of generating 500 gigawatts of renewable energy by 2030.
