A week-long celebration of India-Sri Lanka relations commenced in Colombo in the form of India Week 2026. The event organised by Indian Alliance, Indian CEO Forum in association with High Commission of India features celebration of Indian culture through film festival, food festival, youth forum, hospitality forum, shopping festival and many other events over the entire coming week till March 18th. At the inaugural event, High Commissioner of India Santosh Jha outlined the strong relationship between the two countries and urged the Sri Lankan community to explore India and experience many connections that link the two countries.
