External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar has said that India places great value on its relations with the Netherlands, both at the bilateral level and as a key player within the European Union. He made these remarks during a meeting with his Netherlands counterpart, David van Weel, in New Delhi. Mr. Jaishankar noted that several important agreements have been reached over the past few months, adding more dimensions to cooperation between the two countries. He added that India also counts on the Netherlands’ support as it is entering in a decisive phase of negotiations with the European Union on a free trade agreement. He highlighted the strong cooperation between the two sides in areas such as agriculture, health, science, technology, and shipping.
