India & US hold 22nd Military Cooperation Group meeting in Hawaii

The 22nd edition of the India-US Military Cooperation Group (MCG) meeting was held in Hawaii, USA. The two-day meeting was co-chaired by India’s Chief of Integrated Defence Staff, Air Marshal Ashutosh Dixit, and Lieutenant General Joshua Rudd of the US Indo-Pacific Command.

The Headquarters of the Integrated Defence Staff, today, said the event witnessed productive discussions with senior military leaders focusing on strengthening bilateral defence engagements, enhancing interoperability and promoting a free, open and secure Indo-Pacific region.

The India-US Military Cooperation Group MCG serves as a key platform for strategic and operational dialogue between the armed forces of both nations. Last year’s meeting was held in New Delhi. Both countries have held a series of exercises such as Yudh Abhyas, Malabar, and Vajra Prahar.
