India will host the AI Impact Summit in New Delhi in February next year. The India AI Impact Summit, which will begin on the 15th of February, will conclude on the 20th. Addressing a press conference on the event, Secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, S. Krishnan, said that the summit will help to shape the future of inclusive, responsible and resilient Artificial Intelligence, AI.
The Secretary added that it will provide a platform to bridge gaps in the use of technology and AI. He added that the summit is anchored in three guiding principles of People, Planet and Progress, reflecting as to how AI should serve humanity, safeguard the environment and drive inclusive growth.
Mr Krishnan said that a Research Symposium on AI and its impact will also be organised as part of the summit. It will bring together researchers and practitioners to present their ideas on the impact of AI, exchange methods and evidence, and forge collaborations. The Secretary further informed that more than three hundred pre-summit events have already been organised in more than a hundred cities, across the country and globally.
AI leaders, thinkers and developers from more than one hundred and forty countries will participate in the summit. The Summit will promote democratisation of AI resources to support the development of humankind across healthcare, education and agriculture.
