India Thrash Switzerland 5–0 to Enter FIH Junior World Cup Quarterfinals

In Men’s Hockey, India thrashed Switzerland 5-nil to qualify for the quarterfinals of the FIH Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 at Madurai International Hockey Stadium in Tamil Nadu. Manmeet, Sharda Nand Tiwari and Arshdeep Singh found the net for India. The hosts finished on top of Pool B with nine points from three games. Sharda Nand was awarded the Player of the Match. The Indian team, led by Rohit, will now take on Belgium in Chennai on Friday in the quarter-finals. The hosts remained undefeated in the round-robin phase. India has won the Junior Hockey World Cup twice, with their last triumph coming in 2016. 
 
 
In Women’s Hockey, India will face Germany in their second pool match of the FIH Junior Hockey World Cup 2025 in Santiago, Chile, today. The match will begin at 7:45 PM. Earlier on Monday, India kicked off their campaign with a commanding 13-nil victory over Namibia, with Hina Bano and Kanika Siwach scoring hat-tricks. The Indian team, led by Jyoti Singh, is drawn in Pool C along with Germany, Ireland, and Namibia. India is currently at the top of the points table in their pool. Meanwhile, Germany registered a 7-1 win over Ireland in their first pool match on Monday
