India has handed over around 20 tonnes of relief materials to Cuba following devastation caused by Hurricane Melissa. A special aircraft carrying humanitarian assistance reached Cuba today. The relief material include a special BHISHM Medical Trauma Unit, essential medicines, electricity generators, tents, bedding, kitchen and hygiene kits, solar lanterns and other essential items to aid recovery efforts.

Embassy of India in Havana said, India stands in solidarity with the people of Cuba, reaffirming bonds of friendship and humanitarian cooperation.
