Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal today said that the India- Russia relationship, honored as a special and privileged strategic partnership, is time tested and resilient. Addressing the India-Russia Business Forum in New Delhi, Mr Goyal said that this relationship has stood as a testament to decades of unwavering solidarity, enduring the uncertainties of a changing world. He stated that India is a reliable, trusted and forward-looking partner to the world, working to expand trade, creating framework conditions to grow economic partnership.

Mr Goyal noted that despite global headwinds, India and its economy have demonstrated ability to withstand the challenges and being among the top five economies globally. Highlighting the four labour codes, the Minister said that the codes focus largely on a better deal for the workmen, better salaries, higher national minimum wages and social security for gig workers and contractual.
