India has rejected the recent report in The Washington Post on alleged assassination plot of Khalistani terrorist Gurpatwant Singh Pannun. Responding to media queries on the story in the US daily, Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, it makes unwarranted and unsubstantiated imputations on a serious matter.
He said, there is an ongoing investigation of the High-Level Committee set up by Government of India to look into the security concerns shared by the US government on networks of organised criminals, terrorists and others. He added that speculative and irresponsible comments on it are not helpful.
