Australian High Commissioner to India Philip Green has said that India has become an indispensable partner for Australia in shaping a stable and prosperous Indo-Pacific. He stressed that the bilateral relationship is at its strongest, driven by strategic alignment, economic complementarity and a vibrant Indian diaspora in Australia. Mr. Green highlighted ongoing cooperation in defence, maritime security and critical minerals, along with expanding ties in technology, renewable energy and education.
He further said, Australia is supporting India’s solar rooftop goals through a new skills academy in Gandhinagar and advancing a direct supply chain in minerals like lithium. He also reaffirmed India’s growing global stature and said both nations are working closely to strengthen regional institutions and uphold a rules-based Indo-Pacific order.
