India, Luxembourg Pledge to Deepen Science and Space Cooperation

India and Luxembourg today reaffirmed commitment to deepen cooperation in science, technology, and space exploration. In a meeting in Delhi, Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh and Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Christian Biever explored avenues to promote Indian Space Start Ups in European Markets.
 
The Minister underscored India’s emergence as a global leader in science and innovation, with the country ranking among the top three in scientific publications and startup activity worldwide. Science and Technology Ministry said that the meeting focused on advancing joint initiatives in innovation-driven sectors such as cyber security, quantum technologies, and artificial intelligence.  
 
Dr Singh said the Chandrayaan-3 mission positioned the country as a vibrant hub for space manufacturing and research. Highlighting the active participation between India and Luxembourg, he said that two Luxembourg satellites were launched on the PSLV rocket. He added that the participation of ISRO in the Luxembourg Space Agency’s Space Resources Week 2024, reflects the growing collaboration between the two countries.
