Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today said that through the ‘National Education Policy 2020,’ the Government is continuously promoting research and innovation based on the mother tongue, Indian knowledge traditions, and AI-driven education. He added that due to this reason the Global South looks towards India with trust, solutions, and expectations of leadership. The Minister said this while addressing the 58th Foundation Day of Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR). Lauding the ICSSR, the Minister said that the organisation is performing the vital task of giving new direction to social science research from an Indian perspective. He stated that ICSSR is also strengthening policymaking, and establishing India’s intellectual tradition on the global stage.
The Minister said that India is a living laboratory for understanding human civilization. Mr Pradhan emphasized that the country embodies the spirit of a holistic society, where knowledge, culture, spirituality, and social consciousness are deeply interconnected. The Minister further said that the reconstruction of the Somnath Temple symbolizes India’s self-pride, cultural renaissance, and unbreakable national consciousness. He noted that in order to achieve the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047, the citizens must move forward with confidence, drawing from an understanding of India’s thousand-year history, struggles, and cultural consciousness.
