Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan has said that India has become a global hub of innovation under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the 44th Convocation of the Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning in Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh today, he noted that transformative steps such as the National Education Policy 2020 have substantially raised standards in higher education. He called for more investment and greater focus on research. He stressed the need to preserve traditional values while embracing global ideas and new developments. The Vice President urged the youth to join the fight against drugs and said it must become a people’s movement with collective effort. The Vice President will attend the grand Centenary Celebrations of Sri Sathya Sai Baba as Chief Guest tomorrow.
