In a social media post, the Ministry of External Affairs said that the Aarogya Maitri BHISHM Cube has become a crucial lifeline in the flooded periphery of Indivitiya, Ja-Ela, Sri Lanka. This is jointly organised by Sri Lankan Medical Services, Air Force Hospital Katunayake and the Indian medical contingent.

It is informed that under the initiative, an open community space was transformed into a functioning medical centre with multi-OPD care, Laboratory, X-ray and Minor Operation Theatre. It provided timely medical attention, ranging from trauma-related minor injuries to a broad range of essential OPD consultations to over 300 patients.
