In Football, India have clinched the 2025 SAFF Under-17 Women’s Championship title in dominant fashion, overpowering Nepal 5-0 at the Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu yesterday. With this emphatic win, the Young Tigresses gained 15 points from five matches, securing an unassailable lead at the top of the table.

 

 

With the trophy secured, five wins in five matches, 27 goals scored, and none conceded, India will now focus on their final match of the championship against Bangladesh tomorrow. The match – once seen as a potential title-decider – now offers the team a chance to finish the tournament unbeaten and underline their status as undisputed champions of South Asia.
