Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that the visit to Bhutan will further deepen bonds between both nations and strengthen our efforts towards shared progress and prosperity. In a statement, prior to his departure to Bhutan, Prime Minister said that India and Bhutan enjoy exemplary ties of friendship and cooperation, rooted in deep mutual trust, understanding, and goodwill. Mr Modi added that for both nations, partnership is a key pillar of our neighbourhood first policy and a model for exemplary friendly relations between neighbouring countries.
