Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari today asserted that India now has become the third-largest automobile market globally surpassing Japan, and aims to reach the top position within the next five years. Addressing the International Value Summit 2025 in New Delhi, Mr Gadkari emphasized that India is also a leading hub for green mobility, and infrastructure innovation.
Highlighting India’s progress in road infrastructure, the Minister said that the country has the second-largest road network in the world. He added that India is also advancing in new fuel options like iso-butanol and bio-bitumen.
Mr Gadkari further called for global partnerships in key innovation areas including precast road construction, tunnel engineering, hydrogen transport systems, and circular economy solutions.
The two-day International Value Summit 2025 was inaugurated by the Minister today. The event brings together professionals and experts to share insights on applying value methodology to improve efficiency, sustainability, and economic resilience.
