India becomes one of the first countries with a cooling action plan: Bhupender Yadav

Minister of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Bhupendra Yadav, today said that India has become one of the first countries in the world to have a cooling action plan. In his video message, during the 31st World Ozone Day event in New Delhi, Mr Yadav mentioned that India succeeded in achieving a 67.5 per cent reduction in the production and use of Hydrofluorocarbons. Secretary in the Ministry, Tanmay Kumar, said that people should move away from disruptive consumption and focus towards the proper utilisation of resources.

 

He further mentioned that the Environment Ministry, in coordination with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, will provide modern training equipment to 120 Industrial Training Institutes to train the students to prepare for the challenges of this field. The event, themed on From Science to Global Action, gathered the students and delegates from all across the country.
