The Indian Junior Women’s Hockey Team defeated Wales 3-1 in their FIH Junior Women’s World Cup 9/16 position qualifier match in Santiago, Chile. Hina Bano (14’), Sunelita Toppo (24’), and Ishika (31’) scored for India, while Eloise Moat (52’) scored for Wales.

India dominated from the start, creating multiple penalty corners and circle penetrations, and led 2-0 at halftime. They extended the lead to 3-0 early in the second half before Wales scored a consolation goal. India’s disciplined play and high pressing ensured victory. India will play their next match against Uruguay on 9 December.
