India assures at Least Two Medals at Asian Archery Championship 2025 in Dhaka

India assured itself of at least two medals at the Asian Archery Championship 2025 in Dhaka, with both the Recurve Men’s Team and the Compound Women’s Team advancing to the finals after impressive semi-final victories today.
 
 
 
According to updates shared by the Archery Association of India (AAI) in a social media post, the Recurve Men’s Team-comprising Yashdeep Bhoge, Atanu Das, and Rahul-registered a 5-3 win over Kazakhstan in a closely fought semi-final encounter.
 
 
The trio displayed remarkable focus and composure under pressure to seal their place in the gold medal match. They will face South Korea in the final scheduled for November 14 at 09:55 IST.
 
 
In another strong performance, the Compound Women’s Team of Deepshikha, Jyothi Surekha Vennam, and Prithika Pradeep continued India’s fine run at the tournament.
 
 
 
The team recorded a 234-227 win over Bangladesh in the semifinals to book their spot in the final, where they will also take on South Korea on November 13 at 09:30 IST.
 
 
 
Earlier, the Indian compound women’s trio had defeated Vietnam 235-225 in the quarterfinals to advance to the last four.
 
 
The Archery Association of India hailed both teams’ performances, describing them as a fine display of focus and composure and congratulated the archers for securing India’s place on the medal tally.
 
 
With these results, India is guaranteed at least two medals in the ongoing continental championship.
