The 11th India-Egypt Joint Defence Committee meeting concluded yesterday in Cairo, marking another important step in deepening bilateral defence cooperation. During the discussions, both nations reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening defence ties, a key pillar of their Strategic Partnership. The inaugural Navy-to-Navy Staff talks were also held, highlighting growing maritime collaboration between the two sides.
As part of the visit, the Indian delegation paid tribute at the Heliopolis War Memorial, honouring Indian soldiers who made the supreme sacrifice during the World Wars. The delegation also called on the Commander of the Egyptian Air Force, Lieutenant General Amr Abdel Rahman Saqr.
