Science and Technology Minister Dr Jitendra Singh today said that India’s indigenously developed Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor is a major milestone in the country’s journey towards energy security. Dr Singh was addressing VAKTAVYA 2026 in New Delhi today. The Minister said that the development will play a key role in achieving long-term clean energy goals and strengthening the country’s capability. Dr Singh highlighted that the country is now ranked among the leading startup nations globally, with the number of startups reaching above two lakhs over the past decade. He stressed that nearly 50% of these startups are emerging from tier-2 and tier-3 cities and noted the increasing participation of women in the startup ecosystem.
