India Accounts for 15% of Global Economic Transactions, Highlighting Digital Growth: VP Jagdeep Dhankhar

Vice President of India, Jagdeep Dhankhar, addressed the 65th convocation ceremony of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwada University in Maharashtra, urging students to harness their potential and contribute to the nation’s progress. Highlighting India’s rapid economic and technological growth, he emphasised that the country is on track to become the world’s third-largest economy and offers limitless opportunities for youth across diverse fields.

 

Vice President Dhankhar underscored India’s transformation, citing its emergence as a global economic powerhouse. He noted that 15% of the world’s economic transactions occur in India, reinforcing the importance of digital connectivity, startups, and innovation.

 

The ceremony was also graced by Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, Maharashtra Governor and University Chancellor C.P. Radhakrishnan, MP Dr. Bhagwat Karad, and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Vijay Phulari. The Vice President and Maharashtra Governor Radhakrishnan planted trees in the university as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative. Earlier, the Vice President visited the Grishneshwar Temple and Ellora Caves.
