The inaugural edition of Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 javelin throw competition has been postponed until further notice due to escalating military tensions between India and Pakistan.

The competition scheduled to be held at Sree Kanteerava Stadiumin in Bengaluru on May 24. The Neeraj Chopra Classic 2025 was scheduled to be India’s first-ever International Javelin throw competition. The event would have seen the participation of several Olympic medallists, including Tokyo Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra, Thomas Rohler, Anderson Peters and others.
