IMD Weather Update: Heavy Rain in South India & Very Poor Air Quality in Delhi-NCR

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall in parts of South Peninsular region tomorrow. IMD said that thunderstorm conditions accompanied by lightning are likely to prevail over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, and Mahe during the next two days. 
 
 
Meanwhile, the air quality in the Delhi-NCR region continues to be in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the region was recorded at 335 as of 8 PM today. An Air Quality Index between 0 and 50 is considered good, 51 and 100 satisfactory, 101 and 200 moderate, 201 and 300 poor, and 301 and 400 very poor. An AQI between 401 and 450 is considered severe.
