The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places across the Southern states over Andhra Pradesh, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.

It has also predicted heavy rainfall over the North Eastern states, West Bengal and Sikkim. Similar conditions will also prevail in the western region state, including Goa and Madhya Maharashtra.

The Weather Agency has further forecast thunderstorms with lightning in parts of Bihar, Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh, Jharkhand and Odisha.
