IMD Reports Cyclonic Storm Formation Over Bay of Bengal

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the deep depression over the southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining southwest Bay of Bengal intensified into a cyclonic storm.
 
 
According to IMD, the further intensification of this condition into a severe cyclonic storm by Tuesday morning. As per the weather agency, it is likely to recurve and move nearly north eastwards across the East Central Arabian Sea during the next 24 hours. It has urged fishermen not to venture into the Southwest-adjoining-central Bay of Bengal, along and off Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, and Odisha coasts till Wednesday. The weather agency has asked those out at sea to return to the coast immediately. 
 
 
The Met department predicted extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The weather agency also estimated Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall over Coastal Karnataka, East Rajasthan, Gujarat State, Kerala & Mahe, Odisha, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal, Chhattisgarh, Interior Karnataka, Konkan and Goa, Telangana, and West Madhya Pradesh.
