The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted dense fog in Punjab during the morning hours today. Meanwhile, light to moderate rainfall is likely to prevail over Odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and Jharkhand, along with the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, for today.

The IMD has said that this condition will be accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Vidarbha for the day. According to the weather agency, squally weather is expected over central parts of south adjoining the central Bay of Bengal.
