India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over parts of Northwest and Central India till the 25th of this month. Talking exclusively to Akashvani News, IMD senior scientist Dr. RK Jenamani has said that the Southwest monsoon has advanced over parts of Northwest and Central India. He added that an Orange alert has been issued for very heavy rainfall over Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Rajasthan and Jharkhand for the next two days.

The weather department also predicted hot and humid weather is very likely at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh ,Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal till tomorrow.
