The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted isolated heavy rainfall across Keralam and issued a yellow alert for seven districts today. People have been advised to remain cautious due to the possibility of thunderstorms and strong winds. The yellow alert will remain in effect in various districts until 6th of this month.

 

The summer rains have brought relief from the scorching heat that had gripped the state in recent weeks. The improved weather has also led to a sharp reduction in electricity consumption, easing pressure on the Kerala State Electricity Board.
