The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast that night temperatures are likely to dip by 2 to 5 degrees Celsius over northwest and adjoining central India during the next five to six days. The IMD has also predicted a fall in minimum temperatures by about 2 degrees Celsius over many parts of Vidarbha and Chhattisgarh till Monday.
Some parts of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh are expected to experience cold wave conditions till tomorrow. The weather agency has also predicted heavy rainfall at isolated places over Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal today.
Meanwhile, the air quality in the Delhi-NCR region continues to remain in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the region was recorded at 391 this morning at 7 a.m.
