IMD issues warning of dense fog over North & North-East till Sunday

 
The India Meteorological Department has issued an orange colour warning for dense to very dense fog over Delhi, Assam, Meghalaya, Haryana, Uttarakhand, Chandigarh, Punjab, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Sikkim till Sunday. 
The IMD said that dense fog conditions will also prevail over parts of North East, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad, Odisha and Sub Himalayan region for the next two days. The weather department also predicted cold to Severe Cold Day conditions over Haryana, Jharkhand, West Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh for the next two to three days. 
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has been registered in the poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the National Capital was recorded at 238 as of 7 PM.
