The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for very heavy to extremely heavy rainfall over the Gujarat region today. The Met Department forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall over Rajasthan, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Saurashtra, Kutch and Madhya Pradesh today.

Meanwhile, heavy rainfall is expected over several parts of the country, including Uttarakhand, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal. The IMD also forecast thunderstorms accompanied by gusty winds and lightning over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, and Telangana. Similar conditions are likely to prevail over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Jharkhand, Marathwada, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal. In Delhi-NCR, heavy rainfall is expected during the day.
