The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red alert for dense to very dense fog conditions over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar today. IMD said that Uttar Pradesh will experience a very cold day today.

 

 

The Weather Agency also predicted very dense fog conditions today over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Uttarakhand. Dense fog conditions are also likely to prevail till tomorrow over the north-eastern states, Jharkhand, and Tripura.

 

 

According to the Met Department, there will be no significant change in minimum temperature over Northwest India today, but the region can witness a gradual rise by 2-3 degrees Celsius thereafter during the subsequent 3 days. 

 

 

Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR continues to remain in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the National Capital was recorded at 387 as of 7 AM today.
