IMD Issues Orange Alert for Very Dense Fog in Several States

India Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for very dense fog-like conditions over Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Bihar and Punjab for the next three to four days. 

The Meteorological Department also predicted dense fog conditions over Northeast India, including Odisha, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, and Uttarakhand till 28th of this month. Similar conditions are expected to prevail over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jharkhand, and Madhya Pradesh. 
Meanwhile, the air quality in Delhi-NCR has been registered in the very poor category. According to the Central Pollution Control Board, the average Air Quality Index (AQI) of the National Capital was recorded at 318 as of 1 this morning.
