The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms over Odisha, West Bengal, and Sikkim today.
The Met Department has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Marathwada, Karnataka, Telangana, Arunachal Pradesh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry till tomorrow.
The IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today. Meanwhile, hot and humid weather conditions are expected over Kerala and Mahe till tomorrow.
