The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange colour warning for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha today. It also predicted heavy rainfall in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Goa, Lakshadweep, Maharashtra, Marathwada, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Telangana and a few parts of Northeast India today. The weather department said that thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are likely over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Vidarbha for two days.
Meanwhile, temperatures for the National Capital region are expected to be between 24 degrees Celsius and 34 degrees Celsius today with clear skies.
