IMD Issues Orange Alert for Dense Fog in North India for Next Two Days

India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for Dense to very dense fog over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi for the next two days. IMD has predicted dense fog conditions over Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim and Madhya Pradesh tomorrow. The Met Department said that cold wave conditions are expected over Punjab, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh tomorrow. The weather agency has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning over Tamil Nadu Puducherry and Karaikal till 26th of this month. IMD has said isolated to scattered light to moderate rainfall and snowfall is likely to prevail over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Himanchal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till 27th of this month.
