The India Meteorological Department(IMD) has issued an orange alert today for nine Northern districts in Kerala from Ernakulam to Kasaragod. Meanwhile, three southern districts  Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha and Kottayam are under yellow alert today. The Met Department has predicted that Kerala is likely to receive extremely heavy rain over the next few days. Isolated places across the state are expected to witness strong winds till Tuesday.
