The India Meteorological Department(IMD) has issued a red alert for extremely heavy rainfall over East Rajasthan today. IMD said that heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places is expected over Delhi-NCR, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Punjab, Uttarakhand and the Northern region for the next 2 to 3 days. According to IMD, A fresh spell of rain is also expected over the Gujarat region from Monday onwards. Similar conditions are predicted over Odisha, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal. The Met Department has also said that Tamil Nadu and Telangana will experience light to moderate rainfall today. It further added that Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam and interior Karnataka during the next five days.
