The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that the Southwest Monsoon is likely to set in over Keralam on 26th of this month with a model error of plus or minus four days. IMD said, conditions are favourable for further advance of southwest monsoon into some more parts of southeast Arabian Sea, southwest and southeast Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of Andaman Islands and Andaman Sea, and some parts of east central Bay of Bengal during the next two to three days.
IMD has forecast Heat Wave to Severe Heat Wave conditions over West Uttar Pradesh for tomorrow. Similar weather conditions are also expected over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana and Vidarbha during the next two days. Meanwhile warm night conditions have been predicted for West Rajasthan for tomorrow.
According to the Met Department a gradual rise in maximum temperatures by three to five degrees Celsius is expected over many parts of Northwest India during the next three to four days.
The Weather Agency has also issued an orange colour warning for thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorm over Karnataka tomorrow. Thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds are also expected over Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Jharkhand, Lakshadweep, Madhya Maharashtra, Odisha and Andhra Pradesh tomorrow. IMD further predicted heavy rainfall over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and parts of North East India during the next two days.
