The India Meteorological Department has forecast scattered rainfall and snowfall over the Western Himalayan region during the next two days. It has predicted scattered rainfall over Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, and West Madhya Pradesh. Thunderstorm activity at isolated places is also likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and West Uttar Pradesh tomorrow. IMD has also forecast a gradual rise in minimum temperatures by about two degrees Celsius over the plains of Northwest and Central India during the next 48 hours.
Dense to very dense fog conditions are likely to continue to prevail during night and early morning hours in isolated pockets of East Uttar Pradesh till Friday. Dense fog conditions are also likely to continue in some parts of Bihar, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Assam, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, and Odisha.
