The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange-coloured warning ­­for thunderstorms accompanied by hailstorms at isolated places over Bihar, East Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Odisha and Uttarakhand today. The Weather Agency also predicted heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya till tomorrow.

IMD has further forecast thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh during the next two to three days. Similar conditions are also expected over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Konkan, Goa, Maharashtra, Telangana and the northeastern parts of the country.
