The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning and gusty winds over Andaman and Nicobar for the day. Similar conditions will prevail over North Interior Karnataka and Telangana today. IMD has said light rainfall or snowfall is expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand till tomorrow. Meanwhile, according to the Met Department, Punjab and Himachal Pradesh may experience dense fog conditions during morning hours today. The weather agency has predicted a gradual rise in maximum temperature by two to three degrees Celsius over the northwest parts of the country during the next seven days.
