The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Odisha today. Places over Chhattisgarh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and the north-eastern states are also expected to receive moderate to heavy rainfall throughout the day. The weather department further predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds at places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha today. Similar weather conditions over these regions are expected to prevail till the 26th of this month.
