The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places over Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka today. Similar conditions are expected over Mahe, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Lakshadweep and Karaikal during the next 2 days. The weather agency further predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over parts of Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, and Telangana today.
