The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rainfall over Northeastern states today. Thunderstorms and hailstorms will prevail over Assam and Meghalaya for the day.

 

The Met Department has predicted thunderstorms and lightning over Odisha, Jharkhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim until tomorrow. Similar conditions will also prevail over Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gangetic West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. Meanwhile, Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal will experience hot and humid weather today.

 

IMD has said that overall day temperatures will remain below normal to near normal over most part of Northwest, Central and East India during the next four days.
