India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy to very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Odisha, South Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal today. The weather agency further predicted thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds for Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Lakshadweep, Odisha and Telangana till tomorrow. Similar conditions will prevail over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura for today. The Met department also said that squally weather with wind speed reaching 35 to 45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph will prevail over Kerala, Karnataka adjoining sea areas, and over Lakshadweep adjoining Comorin area today.
