The India Meteorological Department has forecast heavy rainfall at isolated places over Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura today.

Similar conditions are also expected over Karnataka, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal during the next two to three days. The weather agency has also predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal and Lakshadweep during the next two days.
